Donations summer/Autumn 2015

We would like to thank the following for their contributions to our branch in recent months. As we mentioned at the AGM, we don't receive any money from NAS head office but we get to keep everything we raise ourselves so every penny goes straight to your local branch.

For those of you who subscribe to the National NAS organisation, you can nominate your local branch and they send us £7 (£8 for joint memberships) of your subscription money. If you would like to do this please get in touch with the membership team on 0808 800 1050. If you'd like to subscribe, contact Tracy our treasurer at for a form.

A huge thank you goes to the following;

Donation from Central High school 2016

Donation from Central High school 2016

To the Co-operative store at Heysham, especially Vanessa, and all their customers for raising £210 just in spare change at their tills. If anyone knows of a shop/café willing to take one of our fundraising tins please contact Debbie Callender on 075 175 19905.

To staff and members at VVV gym and in particular to Sally who raised £150 from people signing up to her Nordic walks. They also allowed us to have an information stand during Fitfest week.

A big thank you to Plas-Tech who kindly donated money for us to book two coaches to take our members to Blackpool lights.

Thank you to Carnforth Rotary club for their kind donation and for inviting Debbie Callender as their guest speaker at one of their dinners to talk about autism and our branch activities. The lovely ladies of the Inner wheel have volunteered to prepare the buffet at our Childrens' Christmas disco and we are extremely grateful for their continued help and support.

Thank you to Leona Pye for donating half of their team sponsorship money for "Bad Ass Mucker". Monies raised will be shared between our branch and Morecambe Road School where two of the runners (Allanah Pye and Emmen Balmer-Hall) attend.

Thanks to David Willis for providing the buffet for our AGM. David is one of our adult members and has just started his own catering company. We can highly recommend him - especially the home made sausage rolls which were simply delicious! For more information contact him on

Other donations have been received from Wallings ice cream shop/farm and various people who have donated at our information stalls. Thank you from all of us !
